Don't Panic: The Rules

The following outlines the rules and regulations regarding contest prizes and giveaways from And Then She Games and Lo Burton. Most contests or giveaways will be conducted via twitter (@nintenlo). As a participant, you must first agree to these stipulations.

To be eligible for digital prizes, you must:
  • Follow @nintenlo on twitter.
  • Respond to the correct tweet with the relevant information asked for.
  • Do not respond more than ONE (1) TIME per prize.
  • If you're chosen, you must respond to DM or e-mail within 48 hours to claim your prize, so be sure to check back within the disclosed time frame and be weary of time zones. I will always operate in EST (UTC-5) / EDT (UTC-4) unless otherwise indicated.
  • Understand that I cannot be held responsible if you receive a prize that is not valid or otherwise working. If you bring this to my attention, I will do my best to help you solve the problem, but I cannot guarantee you working codes or materials.
  • Understand that in many cases, digital prizes will only be valid for certain regions, likely USA or Canada. I will try to indicate this clearly in all cases.

To be eligible for physical prizes, you must:
  • Follow @nintenlo on twitter.
  • Respond to the correct tweet with the relevant information asked for.
  • Do not respond more than ONE (1) TIME per prize.
  • If you're chosen, you must respond to DM or e-mail within 48 hours to claim your prize, so be sure to check back within the disclosed time frame and be weary of time zones. I will always operate in EST (UTC-5) / EDT (UTC-4) unless otherwise indicated.
  • Be 18 years of age or older, or have parental consent.
  • Be able to provide a valid address. This information will be deleted as soon as it's copied to the parcel, and will never be shared with anyone, anywhere, for any reason. Unless I find out you're a serial killer.
  • Understand that I cannot be held responsible if your prize(s) arrives broken or otherwise nonworking. Obviously I would never send a prize in this condition, and I will take every precaution to be sure your prize arrives in the condition I send it. If you bring this to my attention, I will do my best to solve the problem, but I cannot guarantee its condition.
  • Understand that in many cases, prizes may not be valid or useable in some countries (usually due to region locking or some similar restraint). I will happily ship prizes to most anywhere, but it's up to you to ensure the prize is compatible, where applicable. I will try to indicate any inhibitions clearly in all cases.
  • Understand that prizes will be shipped as soon as possible after they are claimed. After that, we're at the mercy of the postal system.

I would love to continue to do contests and/or giveaways, but I can only do so if everyone respects me and these rules. Thank you to all participants and good luck!

The selection method:
When conducting giveaways on twitter, I will collect the names of all participants ONE TIME per prize and copy these names to individual sheets of paper. The papers will be crumpled up and tossed into a hat. I own many, many hats. The winner(s) will be chosen indiscriminately, at random, from the hat. In most cases, the winner(s) will be announced in a tweet on twitter AND contacted via DM on twitter.

In the case of a contest, winner(s) may be chosen based on their contributions to the contest rather than at random. In the case of multiple eligible winners, the aforementioned method will take over.
